Squash Booking Rules

  • The squash courts can be booked 10 days in advance from 12 noon. In other words, when booking to play 10 days in advance the new booking sheet only becomes available from 12 noon -- all other playing times within 10 days can be booked 24/7.
  • Members must select members and/or Guest Fees as their playing partners in order to book courts -- see Guest Fees below.
  • Booking Fees and Member Accounts
    • The booking fees are displayed on the booking sheets.
    • Each Member has an account within the booking system and must have credit in order to book a court.
    • You can purchase credit (£20 minimum) with any credit/debit card when logged in.
    • Your transaction will be securely processed by Stripe.
    • Members can share booking fees by transfering credit to each other within the system.
      • On the day playing, each member will receive a Booking Reminder email message which, for the "playing partner(s) / opponent(s)", contains a link to share the cost of the booking fee paid by the member who booked the court.
      • Members can also use the facility to Transfer Credit any time when logged into the system.
  • Guest Fees
    • If you're playing a Guest (non-member), then you must select either "Guest Adult £2 per 20 minutes" as your playing partner to show on the booking sheets.
    • The system will automatically charge the guest fee to your booking system account by adding it to the booking fee already paid..
    • If you're no longer playing a Guest, you can change your playing partner/opponent to a member, and the Guest Fee will be removed.
    • This can be done when you book the court or any time before playing (but you cannot do this after your booking start time).
  • Late-Cancellation Policy
    • When unable to use a reserved court, you should cancel as soon as possible so that the court may be used by other members.
    • There is no late-cancellation charge if you cancel more than 24 hours prior to start time (and Guest Fees are also automatically refunded).
    • If you cancel within 24 hours prior, the system automatically applies a £1 late-cancellation charge to your booking system account, however, this late-cancellation charge is automatically removed (refunded) if the same court and start time is rebooked.
    • You can register to receive Cancelled Court Alerts which are sent when bookings are cancelled within 48 hours.
  • Automatic Light Controls
    • The court lights will automatically switch on at the reserved court time and will remain on for the duration of the booking.
    • If there's no preceeding booking, the lights will switch-on 5 minutes before the start time.
    • When courts are booked consecutively, the lights will remain on continuously.
